On a Journey
Being an artist means you have to think outside of the box. You have to reach for that extra mile, and push yourself to expand your horizons. It is not always easy, and sometimes it can mean you have to explore places you never imagined yourself being in. But, I guess it is an adventure in the long run and you have to think of the big picture rather than the miniscule details. So, that is why today I am traveling to Africa, South Africa to be exact. A 17-hour flight to a destination I had never dreamt of visiting was now something that was taking place real fast. Some might call my need to travel to this continent impulsive, but I call it imaginative. I think that if I do not find what I was searching for it will be the journey that really opens my heart. So, whether I am wrapped up in my snuggy on the plane, or helping kids hang mosquito-repelling nets, it will be the adventure that really matters.
