Its in the Mail

The weatherman had predicted snow this weekend. This weekend was not a good time for snow, at least for me. I had a big shipment of paintings and prints coming in for my big gala, I could not push this event back. So, when I heard this news I tracked down my shipments and paid them an extra thousand dollars to expedite the cargo to me by Friday. Well, Friday it was, and no shipment was in sight. I could not run the risk of getting the paintings in so late, and with the storm everything could fall apart and crack. I waited anxiously by the phone, paced by the door, and kept checking through the window to see if a truck had come. By nine I had given up all hope, and so I turned on the TV and got real cozy in my snuggie. I had just dozed off when my phone rang, it was the lobby informing me that my shipments had been in since Thursday afternoon, and whenever I wanted to pick them I could. I checked my phone, and truth be told I had missed three messages!
