Getting around in New York

One thing I hate about New York City is the constant need for a taxi. Taxis are the only way of transportation, unless you live within proximity of your destination, and can walk. Owning a car? That’s out of the question, when living here. Too much traffic, not enough parking spaces, and even if you’re lucky enough to find a space, backing out is a nightmare.

Therefore taxis are the only option left, and trust me I wish there was another option. Taxis bother me, because I imagine all the people that sat in the same seat I am sitting in. Think of how many germs you are with in reach of? Plus, all those taxi drivers that smoke, it makes it hard to breathe, and it leaves you smelling like the smoke.

Don’t even get me started with the amount of money they charge you. Taxis make me want to stay at home all day, walk around in my snuggie, and avoid all the germs of the car in general. But, this is just a fact of New York City life, and you have to deal with it.
